I market what I believe in.

Stories are how we make change. I started reporting in newsrooms, built social audiences and websites for universities and startups, and now help nonprofits and healing practitioners tell clear, brave stories. I bring journalistic rigor, digital marketing know-how, and a deep commitment to social justice to every project.

Interests

I’m a human with too many hobbies…

A woman rock climbing on a large outdoor boulder, with a man spotting her from the ground, in a wooded mountain area.
A silver ornate tray reflects a yellow pear, a white seashell, and part of a blue container. Next to the tray is a pink book titled 'Just Until Now' by Caroline Zilk, with a black and white photo on the cover. To the right is a glass of green smoothie or juice on a wooden table.

Just Until Now: Poems

In 2024 I published my first collection of poems. Just Until Now is a sincere, languid, and sometimes haunting collection of poetry that explores the themes of faith, relationships, the creative process and the created world. It’s available at your least favorite online retailer in paperback and ebook.

Land recognition

My life and work are based on the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Kalapuya people, whose care and stewardship of this land spans countless generations. I honor the enduring presence, resilience, and contributions of the Kalapuya people, and recognize that many of their descendants are citizens of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians today.

As someone who has lived in many places, I am grateful to live, work, and create on this land. May I do so with humility, respect, and a commitment to learning from the people and histories that came before me.

“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check... but it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay."
